About Us

Muzant first opened its doors in December 1989 on Mokotów in Warsaw. Our very first spot was a small pavilion at the corner of Rakowiecka and Wiśniowa—long since gone.

Back then, we sold vinyl, cassette tapes, and early CDs. It was in that pavilion that Dżem signed albums after their last Warsaw show with Rysiek Riedel. In the early ’90s, our CD selection exploded, and we teamed up with Digital to copy CDs onto cassette tapes—an affordable way to get new music when CDs were still pricey.

From 1994 until 1999, you could find us in the Warsaw University of Technology building on Nowowiejska Street. We even ran a pop-up stall under the Palace of Culture and Science for a while.

In 1999, we transformed an old laundry room into our current shop at Warecka 4/6 (staircase VIII). Two years later we expanded into the neighboring laundry room, and since 2002 that’s been home.

As of 2023, we’ve added a warehouse in Katowice on Narcyzów Street to handle online orders. You’re welcome to pick up anything you buy on our website or auction sites at either location.
